The D.A.N. family reunion is a yearly Aikido retreat, held in the summer. It is not called Summer School, but specifically Family Reunion, promoting the idea of family. It is about bringing likeminded people, who want to progress with Aikido both technically and spiritually, together for a week. Through strenuous and attentive training the opportunity is created to show that Aikido can be more than just a physical/gymnastic experience and there can be a spiritual path to develop. The first D.A.N. Family Reunion took place in 1998 in Germany.
In 2025 the D.A.N. Family Reunion will take place in Bischofsgrün, Germany from 11th to 17th of August.
